
The Social Justice School Program aims to empower middle and high school age youth in communities across Connecticut through education on key social issues affecting youth today. The Tow Youth Justice Institute (TYJI) at the University of New Haven leverages the expertise of and partnerships with youth justice stakeholders throughout Connecticut for a program that explores critical topics in Youth Justice, Restorative Practices, Educational Advocacy, Youth Advocacy, and other social justice initiatives.

Impact
Since its inception, Social Justice School has served over 1,000 youth in both Hartford and New Haven.
The program has operated and been offered as a part of summer programming for school districts and community organizations in CT. The programs have been delivered to middle and high school aged youth. During these sessions youth explored topics in Justice, Advocacy, Restorative Practices, and more.
